LEARNNOVATORS GAZES INTO THE FUTURE OF E-LEARNING WITH MIKE RUSTICI

Chennai (India)

Learnnovators, a leading e-learning company in India, has kicked off “Crystal Balling with Learnnovators” – a thought-provoking interview series that attempts to gaze into the future of learning – with Mike Rustici, President of Rustici Software as the guest, on 15th November 2013.

In 2002, Mike Rustici founded Rustici Software to help Learning Management Systems and e-learning content creators work well with each other using the SCORM standard. Rustici Software has grown to be an INC 5,000 company, and today, is the world leader in e-learning specifications. Mike’s company is leading the world towards adoption of the Tin Can API, the successor to SCORM. Rustici Software wrote the first draft of the Tin Can API before handing it off to the community for industry-wide collaboration. Released in April 2013, over 70 companies are already using the official 1.0 version of the Tin Can API.

According to Ravi Pratap Singh, Co-founder of Learnnovators, “We are greatly honoured to kick start our interview series with Mike Rustici. The interview will help the learning community understand Mike’s insight into the thought process that made Tin Can API – the learning specification that the whole world is discussing today – possible. He also speaks straight from his heart about his vision for his great company.”

In this exclusive interview with Learnnovators, Mike Rustici talks about the Tin Can API specification, and how it is spreading throughout the world, getting people excited, spurring innovation, changing an entire industry, and might actually end up affecting how children are educated. “My hope is that Tin Can will position the learning department as leaders in analytic thinking that will spread to broader parts of the enterprise, with Tin Can becoming just one piece of that larger puzzle”, said Mike.
